The AZ Reunion is scheduled for October 13th at the Yoders in New Holland, PA.  We had many friends join us this past fall.  It’s definitely a great event that pulls in alums from all decades.  As a reminder, spouses are also invited.  Robert Pepple ’68 (rpepple68@hotmail.com) is this year’s chairperson, so please reach out to him if you have questions.

Pledge Class Reunion: Fall 1984
Date: June 16, 2012
The Fall Pledge Class of 1984 is holding a reunion. Brothers and Sisters of that year are invited to attend as well as any other Brothers and Sisters who were at the house in 1983, 1984 and 1985. The reunion is being hosted by Dave Bratton at his house in Millerstown on June 16 beginning at 11:00 AM. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share. Ten Alpha Zeta Seniors Set to Enter Real World
The Alpha Zeta active chapter is celebrating the graduation of 10 outstanding seniors this semester. While many of them may come from different backgrounds, they all share the bonds of brotherhood at Alpha Zeta and go on to bigger and better things.

AZ was filled with many fun memories, and served as the foundation for great friendships that have lasted well beyond graduation. But we know that the AZ connections have likely led to great job opportunities too. Did you land a job thanks to a career network formed at AZ? Share your story on the message board.

Actives and Alumni Collaborate to Participate in New Alumni Courtyard
The active chapter of Alpha Zeta recently recruited the help of several alumni to purchase a bluestone in the new Alumni Courtyard at Penn State. The Courtyard, located in the Hintz Family Alumni Center, will be made up of about 1,900 bricks and stones.

The group purchased a bluestone at $1,000, with most of those funds coming from donations from alumni. The text on the stone will read, "The Morrill Chapter of Alpha Zeta Fraternity. Founded 1898."

Active Chapter Has Busy Spring Semester
The active chapter is having a very busy spring semester, with all members getting involved in house activities and events in the College of Agriculture. The biggest highlight so far this semester has been Alpha Zeta's involvement with the Penn State Dance Marathon, or THON as most of us know it. This year, sisters Amy Yeiser '12 and Courtney Smith '12 danced in THON in Alpha Zeta's name. As a chapter, we were able to raise nearly $15,000 this year to fight pediatric cancer.

This spring semester also sees us with a large group of incoming new members as eleven outstanding candidates were elected to put on the pledge pin this semester. We look forward to their full initiation as brothers and sisters.

"I want to thank A. Franklin Myers for sending in the photo of the SPRING WEEK HAWAIIAN PARTY from April 4, 1955. Mary Ferer was my date for this party from my hometown (we did not get engaged). I have a copy of this photo somewhere, but really enjoyed seeing this one with some of my close friends from those great days in the fraternity.  

I am now retired and living in Talent, OR. Still going to Thailand for my winter vacation (don't really like cold weather).  I will try and find a photo to put on the site. Send me a note if you want to remember the good old days?
